With years of experience working within the school system alongside students with educational and medical disabilities, I bring both professional knowledge and practical insight into the special education process. I have developed a deep understanding of the laws, procedures, and evidence-based practices that guide supports under IDEA, Section 504, and ADA.
Today, I serve as a dedicated special education advocate, partnering with families, educators, and school teams to ensure students receive meaningful, individualized support. My work centers on improving access, strengthening IEPs, and helping teams make decisions that truly reflect each child’s unique needs.
I am also a founding partner of the Elevated IEP Collab, a collaborative community designed to bring together advocates, educators, and families with a shared mission: to raise the standard of IEP development and implementation. Through the Collab, we provide training, resources, and strategic support grounded in evidence-based practices, legal compliance, and real-world application, because students deserve more than just paperwork; they deserve plans that work.
My path into advocacy is deeply personal. As a parent navigating the system for my own child, I experienced firsthand the barriers, confusion, and inequities that many families face. That experience didn’t just open my eyes, it fueled a commitment to ensure other families feel informed, supported, and empowered every step of the way.
I focus on ensuring that evaluations are comprehensive, IEPs are truly individualized, and supports are designed to address the whole child; academically, socially, and emotionally. This includes advocating for appropriate services, accommodations, and assistive technology when needed to provide access to a free appropriate public education (FAPE), not just in theory, but in practice .
Beyond the paperwork and meetings, I believe in building confident, capable families. I work closely with parents to help them understand their rights, navigate complex systems, and become strong, effective advocates for their children.
At the core of my work is a simple belief: every child deserves access to an education that honors their strengths, supports their challenges, and treats them with dignity and respect. And I’m here to help make that happen.
